Since the 1950’s Snellings and Gerald Giles have built a strong reputation for excellent customer service and professionalism.

Following a merge of the two brands – Snellings and Gerald Giles – offline, it was time to update their online presence and improve the efficiency of their ecommerce platform.

The challenge was to ensure that the value of these great brands wasn’t lost, both in terms of search engine rankings and for their customers, many of whom have shopped with Snellings and Gerald Giles for decades. The new website required an exciting full redevelopment on the WooCommerce platform with integration to their stock management system.

Through working closely with their marketing team, we were able to successfully yet subtly merge the brands together with a new logo and primary domain: The core development, led by our Senior Developer Richard Howlett, included writing an API to their stock management system to ensure all product data is centralised across the website and their retail showrooms.

In the 90 days since its launch, the website has seen a 7% reduction in bounce rate. The cleaner design has increased customer engagement and as a result the time spent on site has risen by 14%. We continue to support Snellings as their business grows and with further projects planned over the coming months. This is just the first step in their online journey!
