The Italian Job

The publishing industry is complex and tricky for an independent publisher to navigate. However, the UK’s publishing market is one of the most thriving publishing industries in the world.

Anita Morrish is an existing client dating back to 2014, for whom we had been providing domain and email support. She contacted us after being well supported with those services and as she had written a novel which she was planning on publishing as her debut book. We were of course delighted to help!

  • Display information on the books plot and the characters
  • Give retailers a clear way of getting in touch and stocking the book
  • Give general customers clear path to contact
  • Give Anita (the author) a space to upload other short stories she has written for visitors to read

She asked that the website be created as a place primarily for retailers to come to read about the book and its characters, and find out the best means of contacting and potentially stocking it.

When exploring her brief, it was agreed we could elevate her offering and focus on how she could spread the word by being able to easily update the site with new content.

She also wanted to to be able to publish her short stories she has written over the years on the website. Most, including Shadow Song, her novel, based partially on true events in Italy during the second World War.

We are delighted to share that Anita has seen steady sales and her website has been a key element in making sure that happens.

“Thank you, Infotex! I wanted a website to help promote Shadow Song and tell some of the amazing background stories. The team was great, translating my assorted thoughts into a website that I feel proud of. It has been a real pleasure to work with you.“
