PlantParts.eu is a leading supplier of components for plant machinery, known for their broad product range and reliable customer service. Their website, built on WordPress, serves as a key touchpoint for customers across the globe with information on products from over 150 different brands. Their sister site, FinalDrive.eu, showcases the only internationally recognised and supported aftermarket brand for final drives and swing drives.
However, as their online presence evolved, it became clear that improvements were needed in the reliability, speed, and ongoing upkeep of their website infrastructure. To better support their ambitions and provide a smoother digital experience, Plant Parts sought a more proactive and future-focused digital partner.
Project Overview
PlantParts.eu and FinalDrive.eu asked Infotex to take over their existing WordPress sites, which were slowed by plugin bloat and exposed to security risks.
We audited, stabilised, and secured the platforms (including Cloudflare), improved performance, and now provide a single point of contact for proactive maintenance, updates, and marketing.

1. Deep Technical Onboarding
- Full audit of both sites covering codebase, plugin stack, theme integrity, technical SEO, and performance baselines.
- Clear prioritised action plan: critical fixes first, then performance, then housekeeping.
2. Stabilise & Secure
- Plugin rationalisation: Reviewed every plugin for necessity and support status; removed redundancies, upgraded where viable, replaced abandoned tools with actively maintained alternatives to reduce risk and load.
- Security remediation: Resolved vulnerabilities that would have failed PCI-DSS scanning; implemented Cloudflare for enhanced security and edge-level performance.
- Housekeeping: Pruned unused content, users, and stale data to reduce attack surface and simplify site management.
3. Performance & Reliability
- Streamlined the application stack to cut overhead and improve page speed.
- Introduced robust update routines for core, themes, and plugins to keep the platform healthy without downtime surprises.
4. Single Point of Contact
- Established a clear support line so Plant Parts have one team to call for fixes, changes, and advice—no more chasing multiple vendors.
Outcome
Infotex continues to support PlantParts.eu and Finaldrive.eu with proactive maintenance and advice, and we’re currently exploring opportunities for future site improvements and online marketing opportunities to better serve their global customer base.
